REPUBLIC OF MACEDONIA MUNICIPAL SERVICES IMPROVEMENT PROJECT -MSIP/LOAN/CREDIT NO.7699-MK/ICB-005-11

1. This invitation for Bids follows the General Procurement Notice for this Project that appeared in the issue of UN Development Business, with No. 767, from 31st of January, 2010 (printed issue) and electronically announced on 6th of January 2010.

2. The Republic of Macedonia has received a loan from the International Bank for Reconstruction and Development, for the Project for improvement of municipal services and it intents to apply part of the proceeds of this loan to payments under the Contract for rehabilitation and reconstruction of various streets in the urban districts of the Municipality of Gjorce Petrov ICB-005-11.

3. The Municipality of Gjorce Petrov now invites sealed bits from the eligible and qualified bidders or rehabilitation and reconstruction of various streets in the urban districts of the Municipality of Gjorce Petrov ICB-005-11.

4. Bidding will be conducted through the International Competitive Bidding (ICB) procedures specified in the World Bank's Guidelines: Procurement under IBRD Loans and IDA Credits, version May 2004, revised in October 2006 and May 2010 and is open to all bidders form Eligible Source as defined in the Bidding Documents.

6.Qualification required include:

Financial situation:

   -Financial amount of construction works in the last three years should not be less then 4,500.000,000 EUR,
   -The minimum amount of liquid assets and/or credit facilities net of other contractual commitments of the successful Bidders shall be
    400,000.00 EUR

General experience:

   -At least 3 successfully completed contracts in the last 3 years for similar works in construction projects for rehabilitation and
    reconstruction of streets.
   -Maximum percent for sub-contracting is: 10%. More details for the required qualifications are provided in tender documentation.
