Background Maximum amount: 400 000 EUR
The global objective of this Call for Proposals is to strengthen the role and capacities of civil society in Azerbaijan in the promotion and protection of human rights and fundamental freedoms.
The specific objectives of this Call for Proposals are:
- To promote and protect the rights of vulnerable groups (including internally displaced persons, refugees and asylum seekers, ethnic and
religious minorities, sexual minorities, children and youth, people with disabilities, the elderly, HIV/AIDS positive etc);
- To promote and protect economic, social and cultural rights, such as, but not limited to, the right to education, health, property, adequate
living standards including the right to social services;
- To promote non-discrimination and equality, including gender equality and equality for persons belonging to minorities and vulnerable
groups;
- To promote tolerance and combat fundamentalism and violent extremism.
Eligibility
In order to be eligible for a grant, the applicant must:
- Be a legal person and
- Be non-profit-making and
- Be a specific type of organisation such as: non-governmental organisation, international (inter-governmental) organisation as defined by
Article 43 of the Rules of application of the EU Financial Regulation and
- Be established in a Member State of the European Union or the European Economic Area or in Azerbaijan or in a country covered by the
Eastern Partnership policy. This obligation does not apply to international organisations
Budget
The overall indicative amount made available under this Call for Proposals is EUR 2,945,500
Size of grants
- Minimum amount: EUR 200,000
- Maximum amount: EUR 400,000
