Background
This position is open for secondment only and participating States are kindly reminded that all costs in relation to assignment at the Secretariat must be borne by their authorities. Candidates should, prior to applying, verify with their respective nominating authority to which extent financial remuneration and/or benefit packages will be offered. Seconded staff members in the OSCE Secretariat and Institutions are not entitled to a Board and Lodging Allowance payable by the Organization.
Responsibilities
- Assists in the OSCE activities related to dialogue and co-operation on energy security by providing analysis, briefings, reports and
speeches on energy security matters as well as on relevant aspects of economic and environmental issues
- Establishes and maintains contacts with officials of international organizations, sub-regional initiatives and NGOs to help in the
development of approaches and programmes that promote energy security dialogue and co-operation
- Formulates project proposals on energy security, and co-ordinates and manages them
Requirements
- Advanced university degree in economics, international relations or political science, with a focus on energy development
- A minimum of eight years of professional experience related to energy issues including energy security, energy efficiency, and renewable
sources of energy
- Experience in project management in an international context
- Professional fluency in the English language, both oral and written; knowledge of another OSCE language, especially Russian, would be an
asset
