Description

This service contract is designed to provide support to the Albanian authorities for the improvement of road safety standards in Albania in line with the relevant EU Directives, the enforcement of the road code and the investigation of road traffic accidents The contract activities will cover:

   - A review and update of the legislation regarding vehicle inspections and preparation of legislation roadside enforcement and
     implementation.
   - Preparation of technical specifications regarding equipment to be supplied and installed, training for use and maintenance related to road
     side checks.
   - Support in establishing a traffic speed management system and the elimination of black spot areas and the implementation of measures
     including enforcement legislation, road engineering measures and solutions.
   - Support in building the technical capacity for road accident analysis and road accident prevention.Support in the preparation of road
     safety awareness and public education campaigns, for accident and injury reduction, and the improvement of road user behaviour.


Eligibility

Participation is open to all legal persons participating either individually or in a grouping (consortium) of tenderers which are established in a Member State of the European Union or in a country or territory of the regions covered and/or authorised by the specific instruments applicable to the programme under which the contract is financed. All goods supplied under this contract must originate in one or more of these countries. Participation is also open to international organisations. Participation of natural persons is directly governed by the specific instruments applicable to the programme under which the contract is financed.

Maximum budget EUR 1,300,000
