Description

The project will support the Government and Kosovo Electricity Corporation (KEK) in a number of activities that relate to implementation of the Energy Community Treaty requirements on meeting the environmental standards.

Under the contract a detailed study will be prepared on the actual operational and technical status of the plant, the proposal of the best technologies of flue gas treatment plants to be implemented on the 2 Units of Kosovo B (recognized as one large combustion plant) allowing the plants to reach the EU ELV (Emissions Limit Values) according the Large Combustion Pollution Directive (LCPD) and the Industrial Emission Directive (IED), the definition of works to be done on the Kosovo B units and on the Balancing of the Plant for increasing their efficiency and increase the lifetime, the proposals for treating all wastes produced by the Kosovo B plant in compliance with the IED. The project includes the preparation of Environmental Social Impact Assessment induced by the refurbishment of the Kosovo B TPP. In addition the project includes professional capacity building for KEK/Kosovo B staff including transfer of know-how, specific workshop and study tours.


Eligibility

Participation is open to all legal persons participating either individually or in a grouping (consortium) of tenderers which are established in a Member State of the European Union or in a country or territory of the regions covered and/or authorised by the specific instruments applicable to the programme under which the contract is financed. All goods supplied under this contract must originate in one or more of these countries. Participation is also open to international organisations. Participation of natural persons is directly governed by the specific instruments applicable to the programme under which the contract is financed.


Budget

Maximum budget EUR 1,500,000.00.
