Responsibilities


   - Is responsible for all operational and administrative matters related to the operations room;
   - Develops and implements all policy guidelines and standard operation procedures for the effective functioning of the operations room
     (including the duty operations staff roster for 24/7 staffing);
   - Produces and delivers the Special Monitoring Mission to Ukraine (SMMU) headquarters operational 'overview';
   - Organizes an effective configuration of the operations room;
   - Oversees the collection, collation and analysis of all operational reports;
   - Ensures regular communication with monitoring Teams (MTs) and MT patrols and Preparation of operational updates and briefings on a
     daily basis;
   - Provides the SMMU daily operational brief to the Head and Deputy Head of Operations;


Requirements

   - University degree in international relations, political science, or related field or graduate of a national military or police academy at
     officer level
   - Minimum of six years of progressively responsible professional experience (civilian, military or police), preferably in a multinational
     environment and with experience in operational and staff management
   - Experience in an operations/situation centre for field operations, with an operational and incident reporting function
   - Ability to balance diverse and demanding tasks simultaneously and establish priorities
   - Professional fluency in the English language with the ability to analyse and communicate clearly and concisely
   - Excellent analytical skills and political sensitivity, as well as sound practical judgement
   - Knowledge of mapping programmes and an ability to analyse map and graphical data would be preferable
