Background Maximum amount: 600 000 EUR
The global objective of this Call for Proposals is to promote the respect for human rights in Albania, and to strengthen the role of civil society organisations in the consolidation of democracy and the rule of law.
The specific objective of the present EIDHR 2014-2015 Country-Based Support Scheme (CBSS) for Albania is to support organizations active in the field of human rights, targeting principally, and not exclusively, actions under the following thematic priorities:
LOT 1
1. Protecting women's rights and promoting gender equality and women's empowerment;
2. Protecting the rights of the child, including combating trafficking of minors;
LOT 2
3. Supporting the rights of persons belonging to minorities, people affected by caste based discrimination, including lesbian, gay, bisexual and transsexual (LGBT) persons and people with disabilities;
4. Protecting other vulnerable groups, including poor and homeless people, elderly, etc.
Eligibility
In order to be eligible for a grant, the applicant must:
- be a legal person and
- be non-profit-making and
- be specific types of organizations such as civil society organizations, including non-governmental organizations and, community based
organizations, and
- be established in3 Albania or in a Member State of the European Union, in an accession or official candidate country as recognised by the
European Union or in Member State of the European Economic Area
Budget
As a result of the merge of the financial allocations available under EIDHR Annual Action Programme 2014 (EUR 600.000) and EIDHR Annual Action Programme 2015 (EUR 500.000), the overall indicative amount made available under this Call for Proposals is EUR 1.100.000 euros.
