OSCE MISSION IN KOSOVO/ DEPUTY HEAD OF THE OFFICE OF POLITICAL AFFAIRS AND COMMUNICATIONS (VACANCY NUMBER: VNKOSS01765)

Responsibilities

   - Advises on policies and major issues affecting implementation of the Mission's mandate;
   - Proposes policies for the development of the Mission's priority activities, strategies and concepts;
   - Monitors the performance of the OSCE Mission in Kosovo's (OMIK) Departments and the implementation of the Mission's mandate;
   - Acts as the Mission's focal point for dealings with OSCE Institutions and assists the Head of OPAC in dealing with the OSCE Secretariat's
     Conflict Prevention Centre (CPC);
   - Acts as the OPAC's focal point for dealings with international organizations in Kosovo (i.e., the external relations of the Mission) and
     monitors OMiK dealings with such organizations;
   - Assists the Head in the formulation of OPAC's budget and that of the other parts of the Mission as required by the Head of OPAC;


Requirements

   - Experience in political analysis and/or reporting
   - Experience in policy planning and advising
   - Previous experience in a liaison function
   - Professional fluency in the English language
   - Demonstrated ability and willingness to work as a member of a team, with people of different cultural and religious backgrounds,
     different gender, and diverse political views, while maintaining impartiality and objectivity
   - Flexibility and ability to work under pressure and with limited time frames
