Responsibilities


   - Participates in the conception, the development, the implementation and the evaluation of OSCE counter-terrorism programmes or
     projects; monitors programme/project development and implementation and liaises with relevant parties and stakeholders, as well as
     identifies and tracks follow-up actions;
   - Follows closely the developments occurring in a series of thematic areas pertaining to counter-terrorism and/or identified as key issues to
     the TNTD/ATU activities; identifies trends and possible gaps and proposes course of action;
   - Participates actively as a representative of the TNTD/ATU in counter-terrorism activities set up by other OSCE institutions and bodies,
     international and regional organizations as well as other stakeholders;
   - Facilitates the co-ordination of the assigned portfolio activities with those developed by other OSCE institutions and field operations;
     reports to the relevant OSCE bodies as required, including the Security Committee and provides expert advice as requested by the
     Secretary General or the Chairman-in-Office through the Head of the Unit;
   - Deals extensively on issues related to travel documents security;
   - Identifies, explores and fosters synergies and complementarities between the ATU and possible project partners;


Requirements

   - University degree in international/political affairs, security/military, law enforcement studies or a closely related field
   - Minimum of six years of progressively responsible and relevant professional experience in security affairs, and at least two years with
     international organizations; previous experience at the OSCE (Institutions/field operations) is a distinct asset
   - Established relevant professional experience in the field of anti-terrorism
   - Established relevant law enforcement and/or intelligence background
   - Demonstrated ability to foresee risks, anticipate conflicts and propose solutions
   - Experience with customs and borders is a distinct asset, but not a prerequisite
   - Professional fluency in the English language, both oral and written; knowledge of other OSCE languages is desirable
   - Ability to work with people of different nationalities, religions and cultural backgrounds
