Although Kosovo’s economy has grown since 2001, long term sustainable sources of growth are lacking and private sector activities and investments will become increasingly critical as engines to generate growth and improve job and income perspectives. Kosovo is endowed with fertile land suitable for agricultural production and agriculture has always been a key sector in its economy. According to the preliminary2 results of the Agriculture Census 2014, in the agricultural year 2013-2014, a number of 129,220 agricultural holdings had agricultural activity and the total area of land used for agricultural production in 2014 was 257,639 hectares.
Size of grants
Any grant requested under this Call for Proposals must fall between the following minimum and maximum amounts:
Lot 1:
- minimum amount: 200.000 Euro
- maximum amount: 500.000 Euro
Lot 2:
- minimum amount: 50.000 Euro
- maximum amount: 500.000 Euro.
Eligibility
In order to be eligible for a grant, the applicant must:
- be a legal person
- be registered agriculture producer or be a specific type of organisation such as: agro-food processing establishment and business entity
- be registered and operational in Kosovo for the last three years (2012, 2013, 2014)
- be directly responsible for the preparation and management of the action with the co-applicant(s) and affiliated entity(ies), not acting as an
intermediary.
