Requirements
- University education in political sciences, social sciences, international relations, public policy, law or equivalent professional experience
- Work experience in either public administration, relevant international organizations, civic associations (including NGOs), political parties/affairs,
or economic and political development
- Minimum 6 years of relevant professional experience
- Professional fluency in the English language and the capability to draft documents under pressure and within short deadlines
Responsibilities
- Forms the senior management of the Regional Centre (RC), together with the Director, Deputy Director and the Senior Human Rights Officer
- Liaises with the senior management of the RC and the management of the Democratization Department on all monitoring and project activities
in the area of responsibility
- Executes and supervises specific monitoring tasks in relation to local governance, media, elections, participation of women, youth, and civil
society in decision making, and other issues as assigned
- In close co-operation with the Senior Human Rights Officer, supervises programmatic staff in the Regional Centre as assigned
- Executes and supervises the implementation of projects in close co-operation with the Senior Human Rights Officer
