Background

UNDP Programme Promoting Sustainable Employments support, implemented in partnership with the Ministry of Labour and Social Policy and the Employment Service Agency aims at supporting the effective implementation of the National Operational Plan for Labour Market Services and Active Employment Programmes and Measures (OP). More specifically, the programme provides technical and implementation support to the following active labour market measures: self-employment, supporting growth of micro and small enterprises to create new jobs, community works and other activities to increase the readiness of vulnerable groups to engage in ALMMs and the labour market.

Responsibilities

  - Coordinate development of relevant documents, including knowledge products, evaluations and recommendations for improvement of the
    current implementation guidelines
  - Actively participate in providing technical advice to all involved professionals on the requirements posed by the Law on Employment of
    People with Disabilities and UN Convention on the Rights of Persons with Disabilities; Provide recommendations for development of the
    Communication strategy, usage of relevant IT tools and inclusion of web standards, development of training materials that would meet the
    needs of trainees, etc
  - Ensure provision of individualized support through consultancy and mentoring services for people with disability and their families in all
    phases during the implementation phase of the self-employment measure – training, development of the business plan, initial start of the
    business activities
 
Requirements

  - University Degree in Economics or Social sciences. MA is a strong asset
  - Minimum 4 (2 for candidates with MA) years of relevant professional experience.
  - Language proficiency in both written and oral English and Macedonian. Knowledge of other local languages shall be considered an asset.
