Background
The Energy, Environment and Disaster Risk Reduction (E&E and DRR) Portfolio have three main pillars: Climate Change, Sustainable Management of Natural Resources and Disaster Risk Management, and each of them have specific projects that contribute to the overall outcome related protection of the environment and increased resilience of local communities. Integrated Water Management is part of the Sustainable Management of Natural Resources pillar, and it consists of projects related to an integrated river basin management and floods recovery/ management.
The Programme Analyst shall make every effort to create added value and increase the efficiency and effectiveness of all planned interventions of the Integrated Water Management projects, with particular focus on EU Floods Recovery projects by making synergies with other relevant ongoing interventions with the goal of supporting the advancement of the EU agenda in the country related in particular to the EU Floods and Water Framework Directives.
Responsibilities
- Manages the Integrated Water Management Programme
- Participates in effective management of the CO programme within the practice area specialization assigned focusing on quality control
from formulation to implementation of the country programme achieving the following results:
- Supports creation of strategic partnerships and implementation of the resource mobilization strategy
- Provides top quality advisory services to the Government and ensures facilitation of knowledge building and management focusing on
achievement of the following results:
Requirements
- Master’s Degree or equivalent in environmental engineering, civil engineering, natural sciences, or related field.
- At least two 2 years of relevant experience at the national level in design and/or management of development projects; Experience in
design and/or management of projects in the area of water and/or biodiversity protection shall be considered as an asset;
- Language proficiency in both written and oral English and Macedonian. Knowledge of other local languages shall be considered an asset.
