OSCE MISSION TO SERBIA/ SENIOR LEGAL ADVISER

Requirements

  - University education in law or significant work experience in criminal justice and/or law enforcement (the latter required for police
    corrections officer training)
  - Minimum 6 years of relevant professional experience
  - Professional fluency in the English language, both oral and written

Responsibilities

  - Plan, develop and implement the Private Law Unit's programme and projects in accordance with the Mission's mandate and Department's
    objectives aimed at supporting Serbia's reform of civil procedure and alternative dispute settlement
  - Draft strategic proposals to advise the government and the judiciary on reform steps in the area of civil procedure
  - Formulat activities to promote judicial and legal reform and to help implement the legislation falling under the Mission's mandate
  - Advise the Head of the Department and the Mission's management on the Mission's priorities, policies and interventions in the area of the
    Unit's competencies
  - Ensure effective management, supervision and control of the OSCE funds, including extra-budgetary funds related to the Private Law
    Unit's programme
