OSCE PRESENCE IN ALBANIA/ SENIOR DEMOCRATIZATION OFFICER (VACANCY NUMBER: VNALBS00305)

Requirements

  - University education in political sciences, social sciences, international relations, public policy, law or equivalent professional experience
  - Minimum 6 years of relevant professional experience
  - Knowledge of the Albanian language

Responsibilities

  - Is responsible for the management of the Civil Society and Gender Unit, developing and managing projects in the sector, with the goal of
    strengthening civil society and civic activism in Albania and reinforcing the role of civil society and women in Albanian public life
  - Establishes and maintains contacts and when possible partnerships with relevant national and international civil society organizations,
    Albanian state authorities, international organizations as well as implementing partners of civil society and gender related projects
  - Keeps abreast with all developments in the area of civil society and gender issues at the national level and at the regional and international
    level as relevant
  - Develops a horizontal, cross-dimensional approach of the OSCE Presence in working with and supporting civil society development
  - In collaboration with the Presence's Project Co-ordination Unit, supports and advises all other programmes of the Presence in
    mainstreaming gender and civil society engagement in their documents (strategies, programme level documents such as Unified Budget
    proposal and project activities)
