Requirements

- Military officer of middle to senior rank with general staff education or civilian with university degree. Specific education and training in
  specialist subjects related to arms control is required
- Minimum of six (6) years of relevant professional experience, including experience working in international organizations and/or
  multinational formations on arms control related issues
- Professional fluency in oral and written English

 

Responsibilities

 

 - Co-ordinating Mission activities and support related to Arms Control
 - Monitoring, analyzing and advising on BiH implementation of its commitments reflected in OSCE and UN Documents and related OSCE
   Forum for Security Co-operation (FSC) decisions pertaining to Small Arms and Light Weapons (SALW) and ammunition. Promoting
   these commitments and OSCE principles in contacts with various stakeholders and partner organizations
 - Developing and implementing projects aimed at reducing the number of operational BiH non-prospective ammunition and weapons
   storage sites, upgrading those identified as prospective sites, and improving ammunition stockpile management. Monitoring general
   BiH progress in this area for reporting purposes
