Background
The Technical Advisor on Building Energy Efficiency will collaborate with the Administration of the City of Belgrade – Secretariat for Environmental Protection/Secretariat for Energy and other city agencies. He/she will hold responsibility for the successful management, implementation and outreach for a suit of policies designed to advance energy efficiency in buildings. The Technical Advisor on Building Energy Efficiency will be part of a network of associates placed in cities across the world to support building energy efficiency project and policy initiatives, and will therefore be engaged at the local, national, regional and international levels to advance the city’s goals.
Responsibilities
- Develop an implementation plan for building energy efficiency initiatives
- Develop a detailed work plan describing the objectives, goals, and responsibilities for the position, and take action on that work plan.
- Ensure progress on building energy efficiency initiatives, which may include leading particular projects or aspects of the plan
- Develop project plans and manages timelines.
Required Skills and Experience
- MSc or PhD degree, preferably in mechanical, electro-technical or construction engineering, architecture, management or related filed is
required
- Bachelor Degree with additional two years of experience might be accepted in lieu of Master Degree
- Two years of experience in building energy efficiency is required
- Experience in working within municipal government, public or private entities on energy or environmental policy issues is an asset
- Fluency in Serbian and English is required
