Background
The objective of the assignment is to develop, prepare and deliver two day trainings on mediation and conflict resolution, as well as capacity building in the area of contingency planning and crisis budgeting. The trainings will be provided to approximately 25-30 participants for each training in the period between October and December 2016 in a course of a two days’ workshops. The trainings are aimed at increasing engagement of local communities in building resilience and responding to crisis. They shall help the participants to improve their mediation and conflict resolution skills, as well as contingency planning skills. Additionally, the trainings will aim to improve the budgeting skills of city and mayor councilors with a purpose to efficiently and effectively carry out planning and budgeting for crisis management, including making rapid assessment of the impact of the refugee crisis or similar crisis on the municipal economic performance and development of mitigation measures.
Responsibilities
- Deliver a two-day training on mediation and conflict resolution for local communities
- Deliver a two-day training on crisis budgeting for mayors and city councilors
- Deliver a two-day training on contingency planning for mayors and city councilors (with development of operating procedures).
Qualifications
- At least 5 years of experience in the FYR Macedonia,
- Experience in implementing programs, projects and/or trainings in the field of mediation and conflict resolution, contingency planning and
crisis budgeting.
- Submit full reference list and a specific list of similar programs/projects
- Submit evidence of capacity and experience in organized and delivered at least 5 trainings, each one of more than 1 day (within the last 5
years) in the area of mediation and conflict resolution, contingency planning and crisis budgeting.
