Background


The overall objective is to contribute to the improvement of the infrastructure in Instrument for Pre-Accession (IPA) beneficiaries in the Western Balkans. The purpose is to support the preparation and implementation of priority investment projects in the environment, energy, social and transport sectors and be financed by a combination of grants and loans.

Responsibilities 

  - Report directly to the Team Leader 
  - Responsible for ensuring high quality performance of the main outputs and deliverables and the timing of implementation of sub-projects
    during the different phases in transport sector and sub-sectors.
  - Timely identification and mobilization of the senior and junior non-key experts which will form the implementation teams of the sub-projects. 
  - Timely and quality delivery of project outputs.

Required skills and Experience

  - Academic background in engineering specialized in the transport sector;
  - Proficient in oral and written English language.
  - Minimum of 15 years of general working experience.
  - Minimum 5 years proven experience in managing projects and multicultural teams outside his/her country of origin, ideally with international
    organizations;
  - Familiarity with EC/IFI procedures/requirements;
  - Experience in the IPA countries listed in the Annexes I and II of the Council Regulation EC 1085/2006 would be an advantage;
