Background
Under the overall guidance of the Project Manager and Employment Coordinator and with respect to the project sites of Tirana, Durres, Shkoder and Berat, the Expert on Orientation on Vocational Education Training Material and Curricula will be responsible for preparing the training material and curricula for the Orientation on Vocational Education module and integrating the: (i) basic literacy, (ii) basic numeracy, (iii) citizenship education and (iv) orientation on vocational education in one training material of Basic Literacy and Life Skills Course.
Responsibilities
- Prepare an individual inception report and present it to UNDP outlining the methodology and the detailed work plan with the proposed
activities
- Lead the work of the team of experts of the Basic Literacy and Life Skills Course, collect their inputs and feedbacks as well as provide
his/her input and feedback for preparing an inception report for the Basic Literacy and Life Skills Course on the teaching methodology
to be used for the entire course,
- Review and analyze existing textbooks of basic education in use in the formal education system, with a specific focus on orientation on
vocational education taught in elementary and high schools.
- Review the existing teaching methodologies of the formal, informal or non-formal education system, whether national or international,
for orientation on vocational education
Required Skills and Experience
- Master degree in education, Albanian language or other related fields.
- Minimum of 10 years professional experience.
- Proven experience of work with textbooks and teaching materials of basic education;
- Proven experience of work with training teachers or instructors would be an asset;
- Fluency in written and spoken Albanian.
- Fluency in written and spoken English is an asset.
