Background
 

The purpose of the internship is to provide assistance to UNDP Climate Change Portfolio related to the preparation of the project Climate Smart Urban Development Challenge, and to support the finalization of preparatory activities, particularly in communication and outreach.

Responsibilities

  - Collecting relevant information in order to assess contribution of the sectors to GHG emissions and current sectoral policies to GHG emission
    reduction;
  - Collecting data and information of relevance to climate change strategic, policy planning and reporting processes and documents;
  - Collecting relevant data related to climate change projections, based on inputs provided by external experts/institutions;
  - Provide operational support to the climate change website (www.klimatskepromene.rs), i.e. research, collecting and sharing information,
    drafting topic-related articles in Serbian and in English

Required Skills and Experience
 

  - Enrolled in a graduate school programme (second university degree or equivalent, or higher).
  - Have graduated with a university degree (as defined above) and, if selected, must start the internship within one-year of graduation.
  - Excellent English and Serbian language skills, spoken and written;
  - Demonstrates keen interest in the work of the UN, and of UNDP in particular, and have a personal commitment to UNDP's Statement of
    Purpose and to the ideals of the UN Charter;
  - Demonstrates the ability to successfully interact with individuals of different cultural backgrounds and beliefs, which include willingness
    to try and understand and be tolerant of differing opinions and view
