Description
The global objective of this call for proposals is to contribute to the reduction of rural poverty in Georgia. The specific objective(s) of this call for proposals is to improve employment and living conditions in the rural areas through the diversification of the rural economy. The priorities under this call for proposals are related to the three rural development themes: improving the competitiveness of agriculture; improving the environment and the countryside; and improving the quality of life in rural areas and encouraging diversification of economic activity.
Eligibility
- be a legal person and
- be non-profit-making
- be a specific type of organization such as: non-governmental organization
- be established in a Member State of the European Union or in Georgia
- be directly responsible for the preparation and management of the action with the co-applicant(s) and affiliated entity(ies), not acting as an
intermediary belong to one of the two following categories:
Category A - lead applicant: the lead applicant must have proven experience of at least two years in Georgia in support to competitive and climate resilient agriculture, the promotion of viable off-farm economic activities and/or the sustainable management and protection of environmental resources.
Category B - lead applicant: the lead applicant must have proven experience of at least three years in a Member State of the European Union in support to the implementation of rural development initiatives following the LEADER approach.
Size of grants
- Minimum amount: EUR 1,800,000
- Maximum amount: EUR 2,000,000
- Minimum percentage: 50% of the total eligible costs of the action.
- Maximum percentage: 90 % of the total eligible costs of the action (see also Section 2.1.5)
