Background:
Under the overall guidance and supervision of the National Programme Manager & Coordinator (NPMC), the National Consultant (Trainer) for environmental management and climate changes for Environmental legislation sector will be responsible to provide developing an environment and climate change training programme based on the already defined training modules. National Consultant will design, develop and report on the four trainings to be held in 37 municipalities. The main goal of the trainings is to build up the capacities of civil servants in order to improve management of natural resources and delivery of environmental services at the level of local communities.
Required Skills and Experience:
Education:
- University degree in Environmental Management or Technical Sciences;
Experience:
- Minimum 5 years of professional experience in the relevant field of environment and climate change;
- Experience of designing and delivering training in the field of environment and climate change (especially targeting to local community
administration, the business sector, civil society organizations etc);
- Good knowledge and experience on environmental legislation in BiH;
- Extensive knowledge and understanding of environment and climate change issues and their importance in the BiH context, especially at
the level of local communities;
- Knowledge of how the EU context relates to environmental and climate change issues;
- Knowledge on mainstreaming gender equality into environmental and climate change issues.
Language Requirements:
- Fluency in both written and spoken Bosnia and Herzegovina languages;
- Knowledge of English language.
