Contract description                                                                                         Maximum budget: EUR 1.100.000

Overall objective of the project 'Strengthening capacities for Strategic environmental assessment at regional and local level' is to implement environmental 'acquis' for a strategic environmental assessment procedure at regional and local level in Croatia and the project purpose is strengthening capacities for strategic environmental assessment at regional and local level. The project activities will include training and education of employees of the competent administrative authority for environmental protection and administrative departments in counties and in the City of Zagreb. The training courses will cover the main stages of the SEA process, namely screening, scoping, review, decision making and public participation. Training would include practical 'on-the-job training' on actual documents submitted to counties for assessment. The project activities will also include developing guidelines and manuals for implementation of the procedure on regional and local level (screening, scoping, quality assurance of SEA studies review, decision making and public participation).

Budget

Maximum budget: 1 100 000 EUR.

Eligibility

Participation is open to all legal persons (participating either individually or in a grouping (consortium) of candidates) which are established in a Member State of the European Union or in a country or territory of the regions covered and/or authorised by the specific instruments applicable to the programme under which the contract is financed. Participation is also open to international organisations. The participation of natural persons is governed by the specific instruments applicable to the programme under which the contract is financed.
