Objectives:                                                                                                         Max. Grant Amount: EUR 250.000

The general objectives of EIDHR are to contribute to the development and consolidation of democracy and the rule of law, and respect for all human rights and fundamental freedoms, within the framework of the Community's policy on development cooperation, and economic, financial and technical cooperation with third countries, and consistent with the EU's foreign policy as a whole.

Objective 2 of the 2011-2013 EIDHR Strategy Paper id ‘Strengthening the role of civil society in promoting human rights and democratic reform, in supporting the peaceful conciliation of group interests and in consolidating political participation and representation'. This call for proposals falls under this objective of the EIDHR strategy 2011-2013.

Size of grants

Any grant requested under this Call for Proposals must fall between the following minimum and maximum amounts:

      - Minimum amount: EUR 50,000.00
      - Maximum amount: EUR 250,000.00

Eligibility

In order to be eligible for a grant, applicants must:
 

      - Be legal persons
      - Be non profit making
      - Be specific types of organisation such as: non-governmental organisations, professional associations, trade unions and higher
        public educational institutions
      - Be national of a Member State of the European Union, or of a country covered by Article 19 of IPA regulation
      - Be directly responsible for the preparation and management of the action with their partners, not acting as an intermediary
