REGIONAL AND LOCAL ROADS PROGRAM SUPPORT PROJECT (RLRSP)/ TRANSPORT SECTOR - CONSULTANT SERVICES / LOAN NO. 7532-0 MK/ PROJECT ID NO. 107840-MK

Background:

The Republic of Macedonia has received financing from the World Bank toward the cost of the Regional and Local Roads Program Support Project (RLRSP) and intends to apply part of the proceeds for consultant services.
The service includes preparing the basic design for the construction and installation of traffic signs and road markings on specified regional roads in Macedonia to standards consistent with EU standards consistent with EU standards. The total length of regional road for which designs are to be carried out is about 543 km. The assignment is expected to be complete within four (4) months from the commencement date.

The Agency for State Rods now invites eligible consultants to indicate their interest in providing the services. Interested consultants must provide information indicating that they are qualified to perform the services (brochures, description of similar assignments, experience in similar conditions, availability of appropriate skills among staff, etc.). Consultants may associate to enhance their qualifications.
A consultant will be selected in accordance with the procedures set out in the World Bank’s Guidelines: Selection and Employment of Consultants by World Bank Borrowers.

The Consultant should submit:

- details of experience or similar assignments undertaken in the previous five years, inclusive of project title; location; contractual role of the firm; the presence of any affiliate or parent companies and their respective roles; start and completion dates; value and source of funding; name of the Client; objectives and brief narrative description of the project, functions and tasks carried out, including applicable national and/or international codes and standards.

A specific minimum requirement to be satisfied by the Consultant is that it shall have completed at least (2) two detailed designs of regional roads including design of traffic signs and markings and road safety installations within the last (5) five calendar years.
