RS-PRISTINA: IPA — IMPROVING ADMINISTRATIVE CAPACITIES IN THE AREA OF PUBLIC PROCUREMENT IN KOSOVO 2012/S 36-056885

Contract description:                                                                                            Maximum budget: EUR 1.000.000

The improving administrative capacities in the area of public procurement in Kosovo project aims to strengthenthe public procurement system in Kosovo by ensuring that the public procurement procedures are carried out ina transparent manner and in line with the EU standards. Major improvements are needed in the Kosovo public procurement system in order to ensure better use of public funds and to reduce the scope for corruption.
The legal framework has been amended recently and the public procurement institutions need further assistance to consolidate and institutionalise the reforms introduced. The areas that this project will focus on areimplementation of the legal framework, strengthening the administrative capacities of the public procurementinstitutions and reaching out to the wider public, and especially to the economic operators.

Budget:    Maximum budget: 1.000.000 EUR

Eligibility:

Participation is open to all legal persons (participating either individually or in a grouping (consortium) ofcandidates) which are established in a Member State of the European Union or in a country or territory of theregions covered and/or authorised by the specific instruments applicable to the programme under which thecontract is financed. Participation is also open to international organisations. Theparticipation of natural persons is governed by the specific instruments applicable to the programme underwhich the contract is financed. All eligible natural and legal persons or groupings of such persons (consortia) may apply. A consortium may be a permanent, legally-established grouping or a grouping which has been constituted informally for a specific tender procedure.
