In the view of the expected launch of negotiations for accession to the European Union, the citizens of the Republic of Macedonia will increasingly need objective information about the accession process and the real impact of this process on their daily lives.
Objectives of the programme
The global objective of this Call for Proposals is to contribute to better information of the citizens of the former Yugoslav Republic of Macedonia about the European Union and the impact of the accession process on their daily lives.
The specific objectives of this Call for Proposals are:
- to increase the number of quality TV programmes about what the European Union is doing in order to help the country meet the EU
standards and make progress in the accession process; and
- to stimulate an informed public debate in the former Yugoslav Republic of Macedonia about the benefits and challenges of the EU accession
process.
Size of grants
Any grant requested under this Call for Proposals must fall between the following minimum and maximum amounts:
- minimum amount: € 40,000
- maximum amount: € 100,000
Eligibility
In order to be eligible for a grant, the applicants must:
- be legal persons, and
- be public television broadcasters, private television broadcasters, independent television production houses or organisations which perform
television broadcasting and/or television production as one of their registered activities, and
- be established in a Member State of the European Union, a country that is a beneficiary of the IPA Regulation1, a country that is a
beneficiary of the European Neighbourhood and Partnership Instrument, or a Member State of the European Economic Area, and
- be directly responsible for the preparation and management of the action with their partners, not acting as an intermediary.
