The Industrial Technologies 2012 Conference is jointly organised by the Interdisciplinary Nanoscience Center at Aarhus University (iNANO), the Center for Industrial Production at Aalborg University (CIP), and Spinverse and will take place in Aarhus, Denmark on June 19-21, 2012.

Over 900 projects in the field of Industrial Technologies have been launched under the Framework Programmes 5, 6 & 7. Industrial Technologies 2012 will identify and celebrate the very best of these. The Best Project Award will be given to the project, which has had the greatest economic and societal impact, boosting European competitiveness by creating new products and processes.

The Award Ceremony

The Best Project Award will be given during the Award Gala on Wednesday 20 June during Industrial Technologies 2012. 10 finalists will be selected by the steering group of the event, all of whom will have the chance to present a brief outline of their project and its achievements.
The winner will be chosen by a vote from amongst the gala attendees, and will receive the prestigious Best Project Award, which is expected to generate significant media coverage.

The Award Criteria

The main criteria for judging projects will be the results that have been achieved.  Projects should demonstrate tangible achievements such as:

     - New products or processes that have been introduced into the market
     - New markets or market opportunities that have been created
     - New commercial or entrepreneurial activities that have arisen
     - Unexpected spin-offs or unforeseen real impacts
     - Independent recognition of the results as being world-beating

Projects should also demonstrate European-Added Value; addressing pan-European challenges with impact beyond a single member state.
The Best Project Award is open to all projects that have received funding from the Industrial Technologies 2012 programme under Framework Programmes 5, 6 and 7. All projects will get visibility during the Poster Sessions.

Financing

One representative from each of the 10 shortlisted projects will receive a complementary ticket to Industrial Technologies 2012. Project representatives are expected to bring their project poster with them as well as to cover their own expenses for travel and accommodation.
