Objectives Max. Grant amount: EUR 500.000
- To improve processing and marketing, hygiene, quality and food safety standards and environmental protection in order to strengthen the
competitiveness of the agriculture and rural development sector, increase market share and consumer confidence into local products;
- To promote sustainable development of rural economy by encouraging non-agricultural activities, that can lead to higher rural income,
job-creation and to reduce the disparities between urban and rural areas.
This call will be divided into 4 Lots based on the following sub-sectors:
- Lot 1 targeting diary processing sub-sector
- Lot 2 targeting meat processing sub-sector
- Lot 3 targeting fruits and vegetables processing sub-sector, including wine production
- Lot 4 targeting processing of collected herbs, medical plants, forest fruits, wood by-products and mushrooms and rural tourism
Size of grants
Any grant requested under this Call for proposals must fall between the following minimum and amounts:
- Minimum amount: EUR 250.000
- Maximum amount: EUR 500.000
Eligibility
In order to be eligible for a grant, applicants must:
- be legal persons and
- be specific types of organizations such as: agri-food processing establishments and
- be established in a Member State of the European Union and Member States of the European Economic Area, IPA beneficiaires
- be registered in Kosovo for each of the last two years (2010, 2011) and
- be directly responsible for the preparation and management of the action with their partners, not acting as an intermediary
