Contract description:                                                                              Maximum budget: EUR 1.700.000

The purpose of the project is strengthening the administrative capacity to implement legislation in water  management with a focus on the Water Framework Directive 2000/60/EC.

The project will include assistance in:

     - harmonisation of the implementing legislation in the area of water management,
     - assessment and development plan for strengthening the administrative capacity to implement water management legislation,
     - implementation of the leading priority measures of the development plan as training plans, training, coordination mechanism for
       interinstitutional cooperation, stakeholders involvement, cross border cooperation,  etc.,
     - first steps for the development of Vardar River basin management plan according to the requirements of the  Water Framework
       Directive.

Budget:

Maximum budget: 1 700 000 EUR.

Eligibility:

Participation is open to all legal persons (participating either individually or in a grouping (consortium) of  candidates) which are established in a Member State of the European Union or in a country or territory of the  regions covered and/or authorised by the specific instruments applicable to the programme under which the  contract is financed. Participation is also open to international organisations. The  participation of natural persons is governed by the specific instruments applicable to the programme under  which the contract is financed.
