Background:                                                                                              Max. Grant Amount: EUR 500.000

The European Union Office to Kosovo is launching a Grant Sheme for regional projects in five economics regions under the EU Regional Economic Development (EURED) programme to support the small-scale business infrastructure and creating the conditions for competitive businesses. The grant scheme is funded by the Instrument for Pre-Accession (IPA) 2011.

The objectives of this Call for Proposals are:

  - Contribute to the consolidation of the five economic region and the creation of a regional development framework which is in line
     with EU best practice;
  - Support economic regeneration and creation of favorable economic development conditions as on regional as well as on Kosovo level.

The priorities of the Call for Proposals are:

  - Creating favourable conditions for business development
  - Small-scale business related infrastructure

Size of grants:

Any grant awarded under this Call for Proposals must fall between the following minimum and maximum amounts:
 
  - Minimum amount: EUR 200.000
  - Maximum amount: EUR 500.000

Eligibility criteria:

There are three sets of eligibility criteria, relating to:

  - applicant(s) which may request a grant and their partners;
  - actions for witch a grant may be awarded;
  - types of cost which may be taken into account in setting the amount of the grant.

Eligibility of applicants who may apply:

  - be legal persons and
  - be nonprofit making and
  - be specific type of organisations such as: non-governmental  orgnisations, public sector operators, local authorities, international
    (inter-governmental) organisations as defined by Article 43 of the Implementing Rules to the EC Financial Regulation and
  - be nationals of a Member State of the European Union or from a country covered by article 19 of IPA regulation. This obligation does not apply
    to international organisations and
  - be directly responsible for the preparation and management of the action with their partners, not acting as an intermediary.
  - applicants must act with partner organisations as specified hereafter
  - applicants must have at least one partner.

Duration:

The planned duration of an action may not be lower than 12 months or exceed 24 months.
