RS-PRISTINA: IPA — CONTROL AND/OR ERADICATION OF ANIMAL DISEASES 2012/S 88-143392

Contract description:                                                                              Maximum budget: EUR 750.000

The project's purpose is to provide assistance to the Ministry of Agriculture, Forestry and Rural Development (MAFRD)/Kosovo Veterinary and Food Agency (KVFA) to control and eradicate classical swine fever (CSF) and  rabies in domestic and wild animals. Furthermore, the project will assist KVFA in:

   — assessing the epidemiological situation with regards to rabies and CSF with the aim of defining disease risk  areas to be covered by the
       vaccination campaign and monitor vaccination campaigns against rabies,
   — train KVFA and field staff in: managing and implementation of disease eradication and control plans;  vaccination of wild animals;
       sample collection, storage, and transport,
   — organise sample collection, transport and laboratory testing at the reference laboratories; organise laboratory  testing at the national
       laboratories and cross-check with the results obtained from reference laboratory; organise  vaccine distribution.

Budget:

Maximum budget: 750 000 EUR.

Eligibility:

Participation is open to all legal persons (participating either individually or in a grouping (consortium) of  candidates) which are established in a Member State of the European Union or in a country or territory of the  regions covered and/or authorised by the specific instruments applicable to the programme under which the  contract is financed. Participation is also open to international organisations. The  participation of natural persons is governed by the specific instruments applicable to the programme under  which the contract is financed.
