The expert will provide an input of 180 working days, all to be spent in Montenegro.
Qualifications and skills
• University degree in environmental, mechanical or chemical engineering, environmental science, economics or equivalent educational
background in area of waste management , or at least 15 years but preferably 20 years of work experience in the in area of waste
management
• Proficient in English, oral and written, good knowledge of local language will be considered as an advantage.
General professional experience
• Minimum 10 years of experience in environmental management;
• Minimum 2 years of experience in management of multi-stakeholder waste management planning processes.
Specific professional experience
• Proven knowledge of relevant EU Directives and legislation in relation to waste management, presented through preparation of waste
management plans or conducted trainings, in EU Member States, Candidate Countries or transition countries
• Experience in training and capacity building of et least two of the following beneficiary groups: local authorities, NGOs, professional
bodies and associations in the field of waste management, in EU Member States, Candidate Countries or transition countries;
• Knowledge of the relevant institutional and legal context in Montenegro would be an asset.
• Experience in establishing inter-municipal organisations would be an asset;
