El-Molla, and High Representative of EU for Foreign Affairs and Security Policy and Vice-
President of the EU Commission Federica Mogherini The European Union (EU) provided Egypt
with a grant worth €68m to support part of the Ministry of Petroleum’s mega project for delivering
natural gas to approximately 1.2m households during the current fiscal year (FY).
The signing of the grant agreement took place Monday evening at the Ministry of International
Cooperation’s premises. The agreement was signed by Minister of International Cooperation Sahar
Nasr, Minister of Petroleum Tarek El-Molla, and High Representative of the EU for Foreign Affairs and
Security Policy and Vice-President of the EU Commission Federica Mogherini. The EU’s ambassador
