The ERDF-funded ‘An open window to the universe’ project will provide almost EUR 1.5 million in support for the Romania-Bulgaria cross-border region, including EUR 180 000 for the museum in Kavarna.
The funding set aside for Kavarna’s historical museum will be used to construct a bridge between Constanta and Kavarna in a bid to diversify and increase the out-of-season flow of tourists to the attraction.
New astronomical and archaeological services and attractions will also be developed at the venue, particularly in the scientific field, including equipping the site with a modern telescope for the outdoor exhibition ‘Dobrudzha and the Sea’.
