KOS/ EU SUPPORT PROMOTES NORTHERN KOSOVO AS AN INTERNATIONAL DESTINATION FOR ADVENTURE TOURISM

Fifteen kilometres from Mitrovica bridge, beside Gazivoda Lake and Mokra Gora/ Mokragorë mountain, is the village of Ibarski Kolašin/Kollashini i Ibrit, full of natural beauties in the municipality of Zubin Potok. The mountainous environment is marked with pastures, pine forests, streams and a river. In this beautiful environment the local organisation, Institute for Territorial Economic Development, inTER operates.
With financial assistance from the European Union Office in Kosovo, inTER launched the project Outdoor In. Its aim is to utilize the natural amenities of the area and develop the potential for tourism in Zubin Potok municipality. Launched in March 2013, the project was a result of a previous EU-funded project that was established in cooperation with the municipality and acted as a local tourism organisation.
