The European Commission has approved a Belgian scheme of €250 million, financed by the Flemish
region, to support companies in the context of the coronavirus outbreak.
Belgium notified to the Commission under the Temporary Frameworka subordinated loan scheme to
support companies, in particular start-ups, scale-ups and small/medium-sized enterprises, active in the
Flemish region and affected by the coronavirus outbreak. The measure, with a budget of €250 million,
aims at supporting the financing needs of these businesses at a crucial point of their economic
development.
