www.eeas.europa.eu The Head of the EU Office in Kosovo and EU Special Representative Mr. Samuel Žbogar together with the representatives of the EU Election Observation Mission (EU EOM), donated on Monday, December 16, the technical equipment used by the observers during recent municipal elections. The donation included IT equipment used by the EOM headquarters and the observers in the field, such as server, laptops, printers, mobile phones and the furniture used to set up EOM headquarters. Kosovo Judicial Council and more than 75 Kosovo civil society organisations are the beneficiaries. Speaking on the donation Žbogar complimented them for the change they are making: "You are showing to your citizens and to the world that it is with every little move that change happens: step by step, with lot of work and firm belief that you are doing right thing," said Žbogar. Once again Žbogar reiterated EU's strong belief on the importance and successful outcome of municipal elections. He underlined the importance of sending some strong messages to Kosovo authorities and citizens about the importance of the election process well in advance. The elections observing mission was one of the crucial proofs of EU strong commitment and at the same time one of the key elements of the success of the whole process.
