A new Resource Centre for Civil Society Organisations (CROSC) has been officially
inaugurated in Algeria, aiming to reinforce the actions of civil society organisations by providing
a number of support tools to help them function. The resource centre is receiving support from
the European Union and France over the next three years.
The Centre will provide three main services: information (to respond to the needs of
Associations in terms of information and visibility), training and exchange of good practice
(to reinforce their implementation capacities), and support and advice (to support Associations
in developing their projects and looking for funding).
The CROSC is not only targeting civil society organisation, but also seeks to offer its services
to all stakeholders working around them, such as public authorities, international NGOs,
fundraisers and funders, offering them better visibility and mapping of the Associations
active in Algeria.
The event took place in presence of Ambassador Marek Skolil, Head of the EU Delegation to Algeria, and Alexis Andres who is in charge of the cooperation at the French embassy...(link)
