Chancellor Philip Hammond vowed on Monday to continue funding British agriculture until 2020.
British farmers receive over €3,3 bn in subsidies from the EU’s Common Agricultural Policy (CAP).
Similarly, the British Tax payer will guarantee funding for Horizon 2020 projects that engage British
institutions and have been approved prior to the U.K leaves the EU. But, that is for project signed by
Autumn 2016; what happens afterwards remains unclear.
The U.K has been traditionally a net beneficiary – taking more out than putting in – from the Horizon
2020 program, an €80bn research funding framework promoting collaborative science projects…
