LOCAL LEVEL RESPONSES TO THE YOUTH EMPLOYMENT CHALLENGE IN ALBANIA - PROJECT COORDINATOR

NECESSARY BACKGROUND:

1. Education - University degree in economics or social sciences or related field.
2. Experience - At least one or two years of professional experience at the national level. Professional experience in international project management, including administration or management responsibilities. .
3. Languages - Excellent English drafting skills and ability to communicate effectively both orally and in writing in English and the national language.

Job Description:

Monitoring – a) Coordinate the work in Albania in conformity with project objectives and guidelines and in close collaboration with DWT/CO Budapest, the project manager, project partners, international and national experts, ILO national coordinator and ILO constituents; b) Identify difficulties and find solutions ensuring timely fulfilment of all obligations and timely delivery of the project outputs.

Administration - Ensure speedy follow-up of financial and other administrative procedures. Review and analyse project related documents and reports, maintain a reference system for these documents, and follow up on future actions.

Reporting - Draft all project progress reports, as envisaged by the project document, .and those necessary for the Project Steering Committee meetings. All reports should be coordinated and agreed with the DWT/CO Budapest Director before being sent to the donor.

Advisory work and decision-making - Provide advice for the preparation of ToRs of external collaborators, and seminar/conference agendas in consultation with DWT/CO Budapest.

Editing - In charge of ensuring the quality of outputs and, if necessary, of editing and translations of project materials.
Organizing - a) Organize meetings and conference(s)/training(s) in Albania; .b) prepare and disseminate the minutes of meetings/conferences/trainings; c) Contribute to the
organization of the final project evaluation as well as any project monitoring activities, as appropriate; d) Organize publication and dissemination of various project outputs; e) Ensure project visibility. .

Missions - Undertake technical missions, as appropriate.
Working with ILO tripartite constituents, project partners and other relevant stakeholders - Ensure proper consultation and participation of ILO constituents and other project partners at the country level during the project implementation phases, in close cooperation with the DWT/CO Budapest. Ensure coordination with other on-going initiatives on youth employment in Albania.

Other – Perform other duties as may be assigned by the supervisor
