Descritpion
The Hague Academy of International Law is a centre for research and teaching in public and private international law, with the aim of further scientific and advanced studies of the legal aspects of international relations. The well-known summer courses of the Hague Academy, which have been organised from the very outset, take place over a period of six weeks:
- Public International Law: 7 – 25 July 2014
- Private International Law: 28 July – 15 August 2014
The Summer Programme is aimed at students and practitioners seeking a deeper understanding of international law, whether public or private. The Hague Academy of International Law awards all participants to the Summer Courses who have regularly attended the lectures a Certificate of Attendance.
Eligibility
- Candidates who have completed at least 4 years of university studies, which must have included lectures on international law, and
who can prove to the Curatorium that they possess sufficient knowledge of the subject
- Candidates holding a 3-year law degree on the date of the opening of the upcoming Summer Courses.
All candidates must master one of the two working languages (French or English).
Scholarship
- In general, scholarships are in the amount of 1150 Euros (from which the registration fee of 400 Euros will be deducted)
- Travel expenses will be partially reimbursed either by the relevant donor or by the Academy
- Applications for scholarships must relate to only one of the two periods
