Description
“Youthful Europe” is a training course designed to provide youth work practitioners with a space to explore different approaches towards Europe through identity, citizenship and participation, and to develop competences to address the European dimension in young people’s daily life. The participants will have the opportunity to critically reflect on different personal and societal meanings of Europe, what are their implications and what kinds of methods to use to address the European dimension in the lives of young people in an interesting and supportive manner.
The specific objectives of the training course are:
- To critically reflect on approaches towards Europe through identity, citizenship and participation;
- To provide participants with concrete tools and methodological support in order to associate youth activities with European dimension;
- To make participants acquainted with the new European programme Erasmus + in the field of youth.
The training is organized by SALTO South East Europe Resource Centre and will be held on 25-30 October in Sarajevo, Bosnia and Herzegovina.
Eligibility
The expected participants are youth workers, youth leaders, practitioners in the field of youth from Western Balkans (Albania, Bosnia and Herzegovina, Kosovo, Montenegro, Serbia) and Erasmus + Programme Countries (Austria, Belgium, Bulgaria, Croatia, Cyprus, Czech Republic, Denmark, Estonia, Finland, France, Germany, Greece, Hungary, Iceland, Ireland, Italy, Latvia, Liechtenstein, Lithuania, Luxembourg, Macedonia, Malta, Netherlands, Norway, Poland, Portugal, Romania, Slovak Republic, Slovenia, Spain, Sweden, Switzerland, Turkey, United Kingdom). The participants must be older than 18 years old, have interest in the topic of the training and motivation to use the gained competences in their work with young people.
Costs
This project is financed by the Erasmus+ Programme. Being selected for this course, all costs (accommodation, travel, etc.) relevant to participation in the course will be covered by the National Agencies or SALTO Resource Centre(s) involved in this project.
