Background:
The Access to Justice – Facing the Past and Building the Confidence for the Future Project is comprised of 2 Components, Transitional Justice and Access to Justice Components. The goal of the Project is to increase the accessibility and services for standard court users and systematically address remaining access to justice challenges for victims of the 1992-95 conflict in the country. Access to Justice Component is aimed at increasing access to justice to poor and marginalised groups of society trough development and instituting of harmonised Free Legal Aid System in BiH and enhancing minimum equal standards for all citizens in BiH.
The project aim will be achieved through the implementation of the following objectives:
1. Development of harmonised Free Legal Framework at all governmental levels;
2. Support establishment of new governmental and strengthening infrastructure of Free Legal Aid Providers;
3. Support to preparation and delivering a first cycle of priority training programmes;
4. Strengthening coordination among Free Legal Aid Providers trough FLA Network;
5. Development of harmonised data base and communication tools for Free Legal Aid Providers
6. Strengthening capacities of non-governmental organisations acting in the area of free legal aid.
The Project is funded by the UN Biro for Crisis Prevention and Recovery, Swiss Government and UNDP and implemented in partnership with the BiH Ministry of Justice, Ministry for Human Rights and Refugees and other local governmental and non-governmental partners.

Required Skills and Experience:
• University degree in law/Master’s degree;
• At least 5 years of relevant work experience with University degree/at least 3 years of relevant experience with Master’s degree;
• Proven record of theoretical knowledge and practical experience in the area of justice sector reforms in BiH, in particular,
in the area of free legal aid;
• Fluency in English and local languages, with excellent drafting and presentation skills;
• Excellent computer skills (especially Microsoft office applications) and ability to use information technologies as a tool and resource.
